Harry Kalas, voice of the Philadelphia Phillies, passes away at 73

If you're a fan of Philadelphia sports, then you know Harry Kalas. He's been the voice of the Philadelphia Phillies for many, many years, and today he passed away in Washington, D.C., following a collapse in his press box at Nationals Stadium. He was then rushed to George Washington University Medial Center, where he passed away shortly afterward. The exact cause of the collapse is not yet known.

I just don't know what to say, really. I'm utterly shocked.

  1. Kalas was one of the most recognizable voices in not just baseball but ALL of sports. He did years worth of NFL Films narrations as well.

Even as a life-long Mets fan, and Phillie-hater, I mourn his passing. R.I.P. Harry
