Afterthoughts: The Sounds at The Note in West Chester, PA

I love The Sounds. Freakin' love them. So I was super excited when my friend Ben informed me they would be playing in West Chester at The Note this past weekend, and that tickets to see them would only cost $15. I snagged two and drug my friend Josh down to catch the show (another The Sounds fan). In short: The show was amazing.

If you follow me on Twitter, then you likely saw me drunkenly tweeting about the show left and right. I took some bad pics with my phone, also, but the 8 or 9 beers I drank wasn't enough to wreck my judgment. The Sounds sounded great, and played pretty much all of the songs I would have hoped they'd play (with the exception of two new songs, one of which was No One Sleeps When I'm Awake, the other being something that will likely be on Crossing the Rubicon). They even started with my favorite song, "Ego," which just put me on Cloud 9.

I like The Sounds so much because, well, they're just a fun band. Poppy, catchy riffs and lyrics, coupled with upbeat, fast beats just get me moving, and seeing them was a treat, even if it was at that idiot Bam's place. To be honest, though, the establishment was kind of nice. They don't let the place get too crowded, which I don't have to tell you is nice. I hate being shoulder-to-shoulder.
