The One Book a Month Project: Snow Crash
So I'm 1/1 with my new endeavor: The One Book a Month Project. As Mike Schramm suggested -- actually, it was more of a threat, because being an individual who works on the internet, by law I wasn't allowed to continue working in the vast series of pipes until I've read Snow Crash. So, I went with Snow Crash.
Apparently, I'm super late to the party, which is fine, but, guys, what a book! Great ideas behind not only the evolution of the internet (and a playful, almost whimsical outlook on the overpopulation and impoverished road this country is headed down), but some interesting comparisons to religion and viruses. I don't want to spoil it for anyone who has yet to read it (and, please, don't drop a comment or link to the Wikipedia page if you're reading this), but it's one of the more interesting and fun books I've ever read. Thanks, Mike!
